YM5D9122-X3The WICT Washington DC/Baltimore Mentoring Program began in 2012 as a nine-month program, which offered an incredible opportunity for emerging and established professionals to assist in personal and professional development through a formalized mentoring relationship.  In addition, in 2016 WICT Washington DC/ Baltimore began offering an informal mentor program program offering 1:1 mentoring sessions with technical leaders across the cable industry through specialized events.

Additionally in 2016, WICT Washington DC/ Baltimore will begin reaching out to university/college level students who are focused on technical careers with the hope of influencing their path towards the cable industry.

Mentor Session Program Highlights

The Mentor Session Program will host events offering 1:1 mentoring sessions with technical leaders across the cable industry.   Attendees will be offered the opportunity to not only meet with these leaders but also a chance to be shown behind the scenes look at technical focus areas within the cable industry.

Nine Month Mentor Program Highlights

The nine-month program matched selected mentees with mentors based on various essential competencies as well as compatibility regarding the individual’s professional development needs.  The nine-month program kicks off in April with webinars and special events catered to mentees professional development.

Participating members of WICT Washington DC/Baltimore (Vice President level and above) will be carefully matched as mentors for a nine-month mentoring relationship to ensure a powerful partnership.
Formal program will include an exciting and thought provoking Kick-Off session in early April with special guest speakers.  A two day mid-point session in July that will include renowned speakers from across the industry.
Unparalleled development and networking opportunities will also be offered throughout the session.
